Barb Shaw has been writing songs for all ages for six decades. She is a self-taught guitarist who also plays harmonica, djembe, kazoo and spoons. She has been a choir director and song leader, she’s managed and played in bands, and she performs as a solo artist. Barb was a special education teacher and used music extensively in her classrooms to encourage language and community. Currently, she performs in the persona(s) of Random Old Lady and her alter ego, Sister Mary Barbara. Barb is also a trained facilitator of therapeutic drumming.
